ANP leader Maulana Khanzeb fatally shot by terrorists in Bajaur

He was heading for a party meeting in Bajaur when came under attack

A senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) Maulana Khanzeb was killed in a shooting by unknown assailants. The incident took place in the Shendai area of Bajaur on Thursday.

District Police Officer Waqas Rafique informed The Northern Post that Maulana Khanzeb was martyred in this tragic incident, along with two of his companions.

The shooting occurred in the Shindai Mor area of Bajaur, where unidentified individuals opened fire on Maulana Khanzeb’s vehicle, severely injuring him. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Reports indicate that one of his companions also lost their life in the attack.

Additionally, three other individuals were injured in the shooting and have been transferred to a local medical facility. Maulana Khanzeb was campaigning for a peace parade scheduled for July 13 alongside his companions.

Bajaur has been plagued by terrorism for some time, with several recent violent incidents reported.
